Italy has so much to offer. The country is full of beautiful places. You can never get bored here. This is one of the most visited countries in Europe, with up to 60 million tourists visiting every year. In this post, I’m going to feature Lake Como, Cinque Terre, Tuscany, Procida and Sicily in pictures. Here are 30 photos to inspire you to visit Italy.
Lake Como. Lake Como is the third-largest lake in Italy and one of the deepest lakes in Europe. Swimming is not recommended. This isn’t a problem, because there are plenty of activities in this area. Most popular sights: Como, Varenna, Menaggio, Bellagio, Lecco.
Cinque Terre. It includes five small towns, that is a string of five fishing villages. Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. One of the most beautiful coastlines in the province of Liguria is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Tuscany. It is a perfect bucket list destination. Tuscany has a different taste of life and it is indescribable. Whoever tastes it once will want to come back again. The most beautiful places in Tuscany: Pisa, Florence, Siena, Chianti wine region, San Gimignano.
Procida. It is a small charming island located in the Gulf of Naples. You can explore it in a few hours. This island is not so touristy which means there is no crowd here. The Corricella Lookout offers fabulous panoramic views of the island. It is worth visiting this Italian jewel.
Sicily. Did you know that the Godfather movies were filmed on this island? But of course, there are many attractions on the island you can visit. Several parts of Sicily are on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe, is located on the island as well. Do not miss it!
